ForgeLocal documentation · v1.2.0

Local SEO

Customize metadata and structured data, build responsible service-area pages and avoid deceptive local SEO patterns.

1. Page titles and descriptions

Every public page includes a unique title and description. Replace the demo brand and make each description accurately summarize that page.

2. Canonical placeholders

Replace https://forgelocal-2xf.pages.dev/ in all canonical, Open Graph and structured-data URLs with the final HTTPS domain.

3. Structured data

Examples include LocalBusiness or trade-specific types, Service, FAQPage, Article, BreadcrumbList and JobPosting. Replace fictional information, remove types that do not apply and validate with current search-engine tools. No aggregate review markup is included.

4. Local contact consistency

Keep the real business name, address, telephone, service areas and opening hours consistent across visible content and structured data.

5. Responsible location pages

Create a page only for an area genuinely served. Add unique local service context, relevant real projects, appropriate internal links, correct contact details and local questions.

6. Avoid doorway pages

Do not automatically generate dozens of near-identical city pages, repeat keyword lists, create false addresses or hide text. One strong page is better than many thin pages.

7. Add a location page

  1. Duplicate service-area-detail.html.
  2. Rename the file using a readable slug.
  3. Write genuinely unique local content.
  4. Replace title, description, canonical and breadcrumbs.
  5. Add local projects and truthful service facts.
  6. Link it from service-areas.html and relevant services.

8. Social sharing

Replace the Open Graph and Twitter/X titles, descriptions, URLs and social preview image. Export a properly sized, licensed image for the final brand.

9. Technical basics

Keep one H1, semantic headings, descriptive links, fast local assets, HTTPS, working canonicals, a final robots.txt and sitemap. The included placeholders are not a launch strategy.

10. Reviews and pricing

Do not mark fictional reviews, ratings or prices in structured data. Add only genuine information that matches visible page content.

Version 1.2.0

Production URL cleanup

Replace the demonstration canonical, Open Graph and schema URLs with the final domain. Keep service-area content unique and useful; do not generate thin doorway pages.
