ForgeLocal is a premium static HTML template system for local trades and property-service businesses.

#Start

1. Open index.html to view the product presentation.
2. Open any pages/home-*.html file to select a business concept.
3. Edit central business and estimator data in assets/js/config.js.
4. Edit design tokens and trade themes in assets/css/premium.css, assets/css/base.css and assets/css/themes.css.
5. Replace fictional business details, claims, reviews, qualifications and service areas before production.
6. Connect forms using the instructions in documentation/forms.html.
7. Upload the complete folder to standard static hosting.

#Central customisation

assets/js/config.js contains:

- Version and company details
- Phone and email placeholders
- Feature switches for loader, motion, mobile actions and preview cycling
- Six marketplace demo definitions
- Cost-estimator categories, factors, extras and currency

assets/css/premium.css contains the v1.1 design system:

- Colour, spacing, radius, shadow, motion and container tokens
- Reusable photo cards, project tiles, estimator, comparison, carousel and marketplace components
- Separate plumbing, electrical, roofing, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance and one-page themes
- Responsive and reduced-motion rules

#Images

All distributed runtime images are stored locally under assets/images/ in responsive WebP sizes. Source and licensing details are in credits.txt and license-information.txt. No images are hotlinked.

#Forms

Forms are frontend demonstrations by default. They validate input and show success/error states, but do not transmit data until an endpoint is configured. This is intentional and is stated in the interface.

#Accessibility

The package retains semantic landmarks, skip links, visible focus, keyboard-operable menus, tabs, modals, filters, comparison controls, error summaries and reduced-motion support. Automated carousels are avoided; the marketplace device preview has a pause control.

#Browser support

Designed with standards supported by current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Mobile Safari and Chrome for Android. The included browser QA report states which engines were actually executed in the delivery environment.

#Production checklist

- Replace all CUSTOMIZE: content and fictional claims
- Update canonical, Open Graph and schema URLs for the production domain
- Replace demo contact details
- Connect or remove forms
- Review service areas and structured data
- Optimise any replacement imagery into responsive local files
- Run Lighthouse and browser tests on the final hosted domain
- Remove the marketplace demo selector from a client production site when not needed
